At Somali Community Services of Seattle (SCSS), we are committed to helping refugee, immigrant, and low-income youth build brighter futures. Through safe, inclusive, and culturally grounded programs, we provide young people with the tools, mentorship, and community support they need to succeed in school—and in life.
Our youth services in Seattle focus on education, personal growth, physical activity, and community engagement. Every program is designed to help youth from Somali and immigrant families feel seen, supported, and inspired.
Afterschool Program
Our youth afterschool program in South Seattle offers a structured, nurturing environment where students can:
- Receive academic support and tutoring
- Build English language and literacy skills
- Learn computer basics and digital skills
- Explore creative expression and team-building activities
- Connect with mentors who understand their cultural background
Whether a child is new to the U.S. or navigating generational challenges, our staff creates a space where they can thrive socially, emotionally, and academically.
