Education Is Empowerment

At Somali Community Services of Seattle (SCSS), we believe education is a powerful tool for building self-sufficiency, confidence, and opportunity. That’s why we offer a range of free and low-cost education programs for refugees, immigrants, and underserved families in Seattle.

Our culturally responsive learning environment helps adults and parents strengthen essential life skills, while also creating space for growth, connection, and community support.

ESL Classes for Immigrants and Refugees

Our English as a Second Language (ESL) classes in Seattle are designed for adult learners at all skill levels.

Whether you’re learning basic conversation or preparing for work and citizenship, our ESL programs offer:

  • Small class sizes and flexible schedules
  • Bilingual instruction and translation support
  • Curriculum tailored to real-life situations
  • Welcoming, supportive teachers and volunteers

Parent Education Workshops

Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
